Small wind turbines, part 1 – Renewable Energy Conference

Western Michigan University has operated a small wind turbine for years. Dr. Patten describes problems with the installation of small wind turbines / energy systems in Southwest Michigan, including contractors and site selection, utility inter-connections, building codes, cost and maintenance. This presentation is part of the 2009 Renewable Energy Conference at the Pierce Cedar Creek Institute.

DIY Wind Power Generators & Turbines – Slash Your Energy Bills and Reduce Your Carbon Emmissions At the Same Time!

Wind power is an excellent weapon for fighting climate change because wind generation produces no carbon emissions at all. When you consider that every unit of energy generated by wind, is a unit of energy free of carbon pollution, wind makes sense. Producing just 10 per cent of electricity from renewables could cut carbon emissions by 2.5 million tonnes a year.

The Easy and Inexpensive Way to Build Wind Power Turbines

People around the world are realizing the importance of clean sources of energy such as wind and solar power. Building wind power turbines has become a lot easier nowadays. In fact one need not be a qualified engineer to build one. Man has been using wind power for several centuries now, though it is only recently due to the rising levels of pollution that interest has been revived in them. Windmills and wind turbines can be seen making a comeback in most parts of the world for this reason.

Wind power turbines – easy to build and easy to maintain

A few years ago if someone were to have told you that you can generate electricity right inside your home, then you would have laughed at that person. Today, it is something that is no longer a fantasy. It is a reality for which an increasing number of wind power turbines stand testimony. You can now easily build your own wind turbine and generate wind power electricity.

Use Wind Power Turbines – Tips on How to Control Your Electricity Bills

Most families spend a large amount of money on their electricity bills. This is one commodity whose usage we cannot limit. Electricity is the basic necessity that everyone needs in their homes. So the only other option is to find a cheaper substitute. It is a known fact that our electricity is produced from non renewable resources like fossil fuels whose constant usage will cause its complete depletion. The only way to solve this is to use renewable resources and one such resource is the wind power. Wind energy can be harnessed by using wind power turbines.
